Books for Teachers

So many wonderful books!

There are so many wonderful books for teachers. Below are just a few of the books that I found enjoyable to read and full of good information. Enjoy!

Jensen, Eric. Teaching with the Brain in Mind. Alexandria, VA: Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, 1998. Print.

This book does just what it implies, it guides you through teaching while keeping the functions of the brain in mind. The author, Eric Jensen, has a website here. Look around. There is so much information on Mr. Jensen and all of his work.

Lemov, Doug. Teach like a Champion: 49 Techniques That Put Students on the Path to College. San Francisco: Jossey-Bass, 2010. Print.

I refer to my notes on this particular book all the time! Awesome strategies that you can start to implement in class now! Check out Doug Lemov here.

Maltese, Ralph. A Class Act: Teaching for Smarties. Indianapolis: Dog Ear, 2011. Print.

More practical advice from a veteran teacher. Check out Ralph Maltese here.
